The Man Jesus Christ

Read 1 Timothy 2

We are in a world where truths of the Word of God are twisted and many forms of false beliefs are formed. Our scripture today quoted an Old Testament truth that God is the only God who exists. The LORD our God, the LORD is one. We shall love the LORD our God with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our might” (Deuteronomy 6:4–5).

Paul also transitions to the truth that Jesus, God in human form, is our only mediator who serves to bring people to God and the only way to God. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). He gave His life for us to be reconciled with God. Jesus is the only way we communicate with God.

As we plan how we will go by on our holiday season this year, may we not forget the true reason why we are celebrating Christmas. God chose to be a helpless baby, born in a manger, and later on, gave himself as a ransom for us all. God wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. Aside from material gifts, let us share with the world the blessing of the Gospel that they too may have a saving knowledge of Jesus in their life.
