Unrestricted and Immediate Access to God

Today's Daily Devotion

By Khai Samante

The temple curtain is not like any other curtain we have at home. According to studies, it is as tall as a six-story building and half as wide, intricately and densely braided with seventy-two plaits of twenty-four threads apiece. The temple veil was required to be this size because it divided the holy place from the most holy area in the temple. It illustrated the separation that exists between God and man. Notably, the curtain was ripped from top to bottom, and considering its size, only God could have the power to cut it.

Jesus’ death on the cross made it possible for anybody to come to God through faith in Him. Jesus opened a broad path for the most filthy sinners to enter His presence. This means we now have unrestricted and immediate access to God. Jesus Christ is the high priest and the sacrificial lamb who made it possible for us to boldly and fearlessly enter God’s presence.

Jesus torn the temple curtain from top to bottom for you and me. He is inviting you to have a relationship with Him. Are you willing to say yes to Jesus?

At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.
Matthew 27:51

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.
