Victory is Possible

Read 1 John 4:1-6
We are living in a world crowded with lies and deception. The spirit of deception will not just simply attack by swaying us from our faith and truth about Jesus. It will likewise drive us to believe lies about ourselves—we are not enough; we are powerless; we are incomplete; we are a failure—causing us to live with insecurities and doubts on our identity.
The bible says He who is in us is greater that he who is in the world (v. 4). Do you know that we have a remarkable resource for victory? The Holy Spirit! He is the indwelling of Jesus in us. The Holy Spirit takes permanent residence inside of us, and this makes victory possible. There are forces too great for us to overcome on our own. Hence, we should rely on the Holy Spirit and not ourselves. The Spirit is constantly available to empower us and guide us whenever we call on Him.
