You Establish Peace For Us

Read Isaiah 26

Our worries and fears rob the peace that God wants us to enjoy. Peace is a promise of God to those who believes in Him. John 14:27 says, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” We find peace when our hope and trust is on God. This kind of peace is not temporary, it is eternal.

Whenever I feel anxious, I later on find it difficult to sleep and I am always distracted. My lack of peace manifests in the way I think, decide on things, how I act, and even on my health. During moments like these, I pray and call out to God and ask for His blessing of peace. I cry out to God because He is a God who fulfills his purpose for me (Psalm 57:2). God is the one who establishes peace. Isaiah 26:3 says, “You will keep in peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you.”
