Happy Birthday, Father!

Today is our earthly father’s heavenly birthday. Dad, you are missed, and what a blessing you continue to be for our family and friends. Each time I recite the Lord’s prayer, I feel you holding my left hand, while Jesus is holding my right hand. Doubly protected and blessed!

My son, George III, recently shared this note that he received from his grandfather, George I, and shared it with me. This note is from about 25 years ago. Mancub is from the Lion King movie.

Dear Mancub,

“My email buddy…wishing you a great school year in everything that you try. I know you are ready after that relaxing Graeagle vacation. Some college friends invited Mama and Papa to a “pigout” at a farm in Pennsylvania. Good time! Bob and I went for turtles, and we caught 7 out of 25 floats at Lake Milton. We will have turtle soup for you.”
