Worth More Than Many Sparrows

Daily Devotional Bible Reading: Luke 12:4-7

Luke stated they can get five sparrows for only two cents. Regardless of how insignificant a sparrow appears to us, their Creator has never forgotten them. If God pays attention to the little animals He created. He surely pays infinite worth to us too, even down to the last detail—even numbering the hairs on your head (v. 6-7 MSG)! 

God is a creator who desires to be a part of His creations’ lives. God, like a mother who wants to be present at all of her child’s milestones, wants to be a part of our lives. He wants us to realize how much He values us so that we might learn to trust Him with our lives. Isn’t it incredible that the Father who knows every detail of our lives and cares for us individually is the Creator of the entire universe.

Whenever the world makes you doubt about your self worth, remember that the God of the universe values you and loves you more than you could imagine—you are worth more than many sparrows. There’s nothing you can do to make God love you less. Romans 8:39 says, “Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
