Do You Feel Discouraged and Worthless?

Daily devotional bible reading: 1 Peter 2:4-10

God made us a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned us with glory and honor. He has even given us dominion over the works of His hands; and He has put all things under our feet (Psalm 8:4-6). This only describes how valuable we are to God. He crowned us with glory and honor.

Do you feel discouraged and worthless? Rely on the truth of the Word of God about who you are in the eyes of our Heavenly Father. You are God’s chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and His special possession, more than being formed above His other creations (v. 9). He called you by name. You are saved by grace. You are chosen by God to be a part of His family and to operate His eternal family business—to share the Gospel. You are Christ’s body, set apart for His purpose and His priceless inheritance. And God longs to be with you for all of eternity.

The enemy will speak lies in our ears, convincing us we are unimportant, unworthy, and unimportant. But guess what? The enemy can never change our identity as heirs to God’s Kingdom. He sent Jesus to become the living sacrifice for our redemption because of His mercy.
