What factors do you consider when setting goals? How do you know you’re pointing in the right direction?
The first step in setting goals is to know God’s will through His Word and prayer. Instead of making God’s plans conform to our desires, we make our plans conform to His ways. Doing so teaches us to fully depend on Him. It gives us peace and strengthens our trust in Him in achieving our goals despite the constant change and uncertainty around us. Our faith deepens because we know that God’s plans for us are to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). We can stay focused on achieving our goals because we involve God in accomplishing them.
Boldness will come as we deepen our trust in Him.
