The Secret Power Of the Seed

Read Mark 4:26-29

Jesus Christ is the promised seed who has given us life. The secret power of the seed is Jesus Christ’s weakness. Jesus can relate to us because, although being God’s Son, He went through all we go through, including physical, emotional, spiritual experiences. His life on this planet began as a delicate cell, just like ours. He came to earth in a state of weakness, not strength. “He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him … and we held him in low esteem” (Isaiah 53:2–3).

Jesus was the tiny, delicate seed that would grow into a young plant, reproduce, proliferate, and eventually fill the earth with His offspring. He transforms into the ultimate source of life and a blessing to the world. Jesus Christ is the only seed we require. All we have to do to grow and become fruitful is accept Him into our lives and live according to His Word. He will transform us inside and out to become the person He purposed us to be.
