Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people.
— Romans 5:18
The letter to the Romans offers the greatest remedy the world has ever known, Jesus Christ, to the world’s greatest problem: sin. And everyone has access to Jesus Christ for free.
Adam created sin and death, but those who have placed their faith in Christ have hope. Jesus Christ has redeemed the effects of Adam’s transgression by giving his own life and righteousness in order to secure our eternal glory.
R.C. Sproul said: “We are not sinners because of our sins. We sin because we are sinners.” Sin entered the world through Adam, but Jesus Christ gave humanity the power to overcome sin. Many people die as a result of Adam’s sin, but many more live as a result of Christ’s grace. Because of Adam’s transgression, we are condemned, but because of Jesus’ death, we are justified. All of us are born into sin because of Adam’s disobedience, but we are all born into righteousness because of Jesus Christ’s obedience. Finally, Adam’s sin is the cause of death, while Jesus Christ’s grace is the cause of eternal life.
Jesus Christ is for you and me. Would you rather live in Adam’s sin or in the grace of Jesus Christ?
Choose Jesus, always!
