Surrendered Obedience

What is “surrendered obedience?” Surrender is not a simple thing to do. It is an everyday choice to make. Surrendered people obey the Word of God even though sometimes we feel like it makes little sense in what we are going through. When we surrender to obedience to God, we are taking our self-centered nature out of the picture. We are focusing on God and His will.

Surrendered obedience leads to hearing from God and being able to live with the pure satisfaction of doing his will. It is not easy, and it is impossible to put it in perfection if we live far from God. It takes a full commitment to always choose God over everything and to align ourselves to Him spiritually. God is inviting us not only to seek His face but also His strength. Our strength is not enough to follow Him and live for Him intentionally, especially that there are a lot of distractions and temptation around us. Our to-do tasks each day are overwhelming and we need the strength of God. He will give us the strength we will need every day as we always seek His face. Ephesians 6:10 says, “Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.”
