We Never Lose Hope

“That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.” -1 Timothy 4:10

Why is hope important?
Hope keeps us going. Loss of hope makes us brittle. With everything that is going on around us, it is easy to lose hope. Some people stopped hoping and believing that the best is still yet to come, therefore they stopped dreaming bigger. Living hope is not based on circumstances.
In one of Tim Keller’s preaching, he said, “Hope comes up because there is no way to get through life unless we know how to get through suffering, and there’s no way to get through suffering unless we have a living hope.” We have hope because we trust in the living God. This truth separates God from other man-made gods—our God is a living God.
Our faith in the living God gives us the ability to do great things for His honor. Brokenness, depression, anxiety, and dread are all conquered by it. We have greater joy because of our hope in God. God fills us up with joy, so our hearts are always full despite the storms. We cry, we scream, but we never lose hope. Nothing can take away our joy when we have Jesus Christ as our living hope.
